Teaching as a Profession

Contact

Hello! I am Morgan Cook and before I am a teacher I am a wife and a mother 😊 I am happily married to my teenage sweetheart and we have two handsome son’s that are 8 and 11. As a life-long learner I am excited to be the Teaching as a Profession teacher here at Newton High School. I have bachelor’s degree in Biology and have a passion for science but enjoy working in the CTAE department. I have a Masters in Administration and Ed.S in Educational Leadership.

I have previously been a K4-12 Assistant Principal in Alabama where I gained invaluable experience that has enabled me to see the teaching profession in a different light. Using that experience and being a classroom teacher for 15+ years, I am able to help students see the importance of teaching and how important teachers are in the lives of their students. Teaching creates all other professions; so to be able to encourage students to become teachers is also a way to give back to a profession that I love so much!
