Fleeta Jackson is a Family & Consumer Science teacher at Newton High School. She has been an educator for 22 years. Seven of these years have been at Newton High School. While at Newton High School Mrs. Jackson has taught courses in the Food, Nutrition & Wellness Pathway. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising. She is certified in Family & Consumer Science, Reading and ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages).

Mrs. Jackson is a member of ACTE (Association of Career and Technical Education) and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. Jamala Penton is a Family & Consumer Science teacher at Newton High School. I have been an educator for over 17 years. Twelve of these years have been at Newton High School. While at Newton High School I have taught courses in the Food, Nutrition & Wellness Pathway as well as the Early Childhood Career and Education pathway. I am a graduate of Grambling State University in Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education and a minor in Social Studies Education. I am a certified in Family & Consumer Science ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages). In addition to teaching I am one of two advisers for the Newton High School chapter of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America)

Alexandria Danielle Walker is an agriculture teacher at Newton High School (NHS). Ms. Walker has been teaching 4 years, starting at Dublin High School in Dublin, GA. For the past three years Ms. Walker has taught agriculture courses at Newton High School.

CTSO/Extra Curricular Activities:

Ms. Walker is the advisor of the Newton High FFA Chapter. FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success.

Members are future chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields.

FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of agricultural education.
