About ALANHS

The Academy of Liberal Arts (ALANHS) was created in 2010, under the guidance of Dr. Kristina Collins. ALANHS is housed at Newton High School. The mission of this liberal arts program is to provide a globally competitive educational experience that is high quality, challenging and inspiring to all students to make a positive contribution to society. Any 8th grade student who resides in Newton County is eligible to apply. The current program director is Dr. Victoria A. Lockhart.
